The symposium From Ultrastructure to Function is dedicated to the late Professor Werner W. Franke. His recent death has made us aware of the incredible breadth of his impact on cell biology. The symposium will showcase the scientific accomplishments of his lab and explore future directions of research.
The two-day symposium will take place from September 27 to September 28 at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. It will feature keynote speakers and other experts, many of them former members of the Franke lab, on topics relating to nuclear architecture, intermediate filaments and junctions.
